New scheduling tool

Just wondering if anyone's store has started using the new scheduling tool? Has it been better or worse than manager's doing the scheduling? Is it good for flexible schedules or limited availability? We have a couple employees(myself included) who only work 1 or 2 days a week, does it allow us to keep our original availability?

I thought they were supposed to have switched over to Dayforce by now, but the schedules and DAS sheets at my store are still being done the old way. I work two jobs, so most days i have some limit on my availability, and I'm genuinely concerned that this new program will stick me with 1-2 shifts instead of my usual 4-5.

Too bad
You are SOL. The dayforce system writes all the schedules and managers can not change anything or they get fired. It's a take it or quit scenario.

I find it hard to believe that the managers won't be allowed to finesse the schedule. Over on the Facebook group I hear about test stores where Dayforce didn't schedule anyone in Kids or Music, or had all the staff go to lunch at the same time. It sounds like it has a lot of problems that need to be worked out.

I was told by my manager that an ASM in a different store was given an IP for changing the Dayforce schedule as this was her second warning. This Dayforce will definitely keep the part timers from going over their weekly allotted hours.

This is not true- my managers change the schedule frequently to allow us PT's to work another job or go to school. They've all been at this location for a few years, and nobody is getting fired.

Dayforce is terrible. I am forced to leaving the company and losing all my benefits that I have got because dayforce can't work or won't work around my current availability. I work one day a week and at this point its not worth it. So if you have another job be prepared to have your hours cut big time and any sick time, personal time, or vacation time you may have say bye to that too because they will be forced to cut ur hours down to 8 or 12.

I'm afraid too...
I need to have a procedure in a hospital and have seen other employees lose hours over needing little changes. I am concerned that this is going to totally screw my hours, even though I'll only be out for two days.
